Adjustment Assistance (TAA) & North American Free Trade Agreement Transitional
Adjustment Assistance (NAFTA-TAA) Target
Group Workers who have lost their jobs or had hours
and wages reduced due to foreign competition or job being sent overseas.
General Eligibility Requirements Determined by petition
filed with the U.S. Department of Labor. Assistance with this petition is available
from the Colorado Department of Labor TAA Central Unit. Eligible persons are notified
by the Central Unit and will receive a Certificate of Eligibility. Benefits
/ Services of Program Workers whose employment is adversely
affected may apply for TAA. Workers may be eligible for training, a job search
allowance, a relocation allowance, and other reemployment services. Additional
weekly Trade Readjustment Allowances (TRA) may be payable to eligible workers
following the exhaustion of unemployment benefits if an individual is enrolled
in a TAA approved training program. How to Apply Call
